About the event

ABOUT MBSR:

MBSR is an 8-week evidence-based, experiential programme designed to provide participants with intensive and systematic training in mindfulness meditation and mindful movement practices.  Over forty years of research has shown MBSR to have clear benefits for improved emotional and attentional regulation,

increased self-awareness, decreased burnout, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Liz Baker, PhD, is a skilled mindfulness teacher and practitioner. She is an American-trained clinical psychologist with over 14 years of experience. She is an experienced public speaker, a professional supervisor, and a visiting instructor for medical and psychology university students.  She is happy to have made Dunedin her home some years ago and enjoys the outdoors and spending time with loved ones.
